It began on a Sunday as it did every Sunday in the fall of 2010. A few Raven fans would show up and sit at the bar wearing a Ravens jersey eating wings and watching the bar favorite, Ray Lewis tear up the opponent’s offense. Bar patron Rick Benchoff and bar owner Mike Guessford, started talking about how there was no place in town to watch the game as a Raven fan. There was no group that got together to cheer on the Ravens on Sundays. So Mike looked into the Baltimore Ravens Roost clubs to see what was available. That next summer a sign-up sheet was put out at the local bar to see if an interest was there. A plan was made and 11 members of the group signed up as charter members. We gather that season and watched our Ravens into the playoffs. We worked on getting 14 more members to have the required 25 over the next few months. The next year, we submitted the paperwork to the Baltimore Council and within 3 months we became the Hub City Ravens Roost 124.
